The Plans for the Hub are Revealed
There are many changes taking place in the education sector. Find out more about how we are involved.
What is a Teaching School Hub?
There are many changes taking place in the education sector. One of these changes being the teaching school hub programme. The government’s new programme replaces the previous system of around 750 teaching schools, with 87 centres of excellence for teacher training and development.
Focused on some of the best schools and multi-academy trusts in the country, teaching school hubs provide high-quality professional development to teachers at all stages of their career.
Hubs will be expected to play a significant role in delivering excellent teacher and leadership development programmes, which will help teachers of all experiences flourish.
About our Hub
Here at The King Edward VI School, we have been specially selected by the Department of Education, to become the dedicated teaching school hub for NOR3, which covers Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland. What was once the Three Rivers Teaching School Alliance will now be named Three Rivers Teaching School Hub.
“We are delighted to have been selected to aid the improvement of education,” said hub manager Rebecca Taylor, “This is a great opportunity to work together and play a real part in system development.”
